| Questions for WTD regarding world's 2008 WTD (or World Tournament Director) ... yes World Championship Tournament Head honcho... yes, Hendo, that's Graham Henderson, yes the biggest of big cheese's... yes, the guy that really knows what's up, Has just agreed to be interviewed on the issues surrounding the World's in South Africa 2008. We''ll broadcast the podcast in the usual way (hopefully that'll be this weekend or early next week) So... what would you like to know? Keep it relevant but you can ask anything about anything. You post them and we'll ask them. I can't guarantee WTD will be able to answer everything, but if he can't no one can. Questions please.

| I would be interested to hear Hendo's comments on South Africa's official statement that they don't believe it worth while sending Junior teams to international tournaments; to quote Piet Joubert, Pres of UWH SA "History has shown that our juniors on average do 1 international tour; get beaten bad, and then leaves the sport." (South Africa are not sending any teams to the Southern Hemisphere Comp in April this year.) There are many in Aus and NZ with similar thoughts - has the WTD considered removing the Junior category for the above reason? Another outcome from this could mean maintaing the max 2 games/day limit.

| Liam has pretty muched covered everything... Although I would like to know: If we split form CMAS will Aus UWH also split form the AUF? Will we actually have to play 3 games a day everyday at the worlds or will this be the exception to the rule? If we do have to play 3 games a day would any rule changes be considered allowing teams to take more then 12 players to a competition? Will the AUF be looking into securing any sponsorship for the Australian UWH teams???? Thanks |

| Thats a shame about the South African juniors. I got smashed in juniors every game for three comps (including by south africans) and it didn't put me off at all. In fact it was only in the very last U21's comp I played that we actually won a few games (including the final...), perhaps in part thanks to the development offered by getting hammerd so often. |

| I also want to know how they intend to fit 3 games a day in at Worlds? At Sheffield because of the amount of teams in the men's and women's division's we often only played one game a day or even one game every two days... I am not complaining though I love to rest! Also gives Doug more time to organise BBQ's...mmm food I love food. Come to think of it let's run the comp over 3 months during summer (2 competitions a year SH & NH) one game a week and we just eat, sleep and socialise for the rest of the week...perfect! |

| Damn it, missed the question time! Look forward to hearing the Podcast to hear the latest news and developments. If we do break away from CMAS and have to change rules maybe we should give this a go?? http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems...2/s1856837.htm and http://www.omega.ch/index.php?id=81&tx_ttnews[pS]=1109631600&tx_ttnews[pL]=1112306399&tx_ttnews[arc]=1&tx_ttnews[cat]=1%2C2&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=499&tx_ttnews[backPid]=75&cHash=0f432fd2f6 But maybe we can use perspex rather than ice so we can stay in our nice heated pools? And how the hell can they manage to get sponsorship from big names like Omega? |

This Bari thing IF it were done right could turn into something pretty big bringing together all of the different sports and athletes. But look at what CMAS continually screws up as far as support and promotion of “their” sports; hell if it weren’t for Bari I would have never even known orienteering and underwater photography had championships. You’d think if CMAS was truly interested in cross sport promotion something like helping out with large multi-sport sponsorship deals or some kind of support and sharing of the communities would have been happening for years. Not sure if it is remotely realistic, but AIDA seems to run freediving pretty well. Not sure if we could fit in with them as an organization or not. BTW I hope CMAS doesn’t get word of this under ice hockey world championships. As far as they have ever shown to their understanding of the sport they might think it was us. |
