I would be interested in an outline of what the wtd sees as the key points of difference and where each party stands.

I'd like to hear Hendo's thoughts/insight/feelings/commentary on the vote down of the AIDA/CMAS thing. I think I understand the issue, but not enough to explaine it. Maybe if people have questions they can ask Hendo for better clarification in the forum. I'd jsut like it addressed in the podcast, maybe a question or two about what he sees as future impact to the sport.

Guys, if you write down exactly what you want asked. We'll read that question out to Hendo exactly as you've written it.

Alternatively - and this is pushing it. We could do a 'round table discussion' with 3 or 4 people (prob Mod's only at this stage)

Hi Carl,
I would like to know:
What the legal implications are if we split from CMAS?
Has an ' aqua challenge' committee been established?
If so who is on it and what are their roles?
Will we follow CMAS rules for UWH or will the rules be re-written?
Which countries will not become a part of "WAA" because of the funding they receive through their affiliation with CMAS?
Will WAA become a credited association recognized by the IOC etc so that associations can secure funding similar to how they do now through CMAS?
What are WAA's plans for the future of UWH/AC?
What is the process to get mouth guards approved?

If Hendo can answer all those then it could be quite a long interview!
Thanks

Sorry one more:
I would also like to know the relevance of the AUF in the new structure.
Does UWHA still have to be affiliated with the AUF if we change to AC and I so why?

Thanks!

Awwww… so I can’t just throw something completely vague and nebulous out there and expect others to understand what I want and ask the questions I want? Damn now I have to think! :?

Ok,
WTD, can you briefly explain what was topic 11.1 on the CMAS GA agenda AIDA/CMAS, and your thoughts on why something that seemed to be a win-win for AIDA AND CMAS would have been voted down? And does this set a precedent for how CMAS will treat WAA competitors?

What impact to our sport and participation, if any, especially from those European nations like France, Italy, Spain, etc… who maybe more intimately married to CMAS does that decision have, in regards to SA 2008 and beyond?

As I think I understand the ruling was in regards to ONLY individual athletes and to only dynamic apnea, where AIDA athletes can compete in separate different events that CMAS does not offer and not be banned from competition.
A) Does this mean CMAS will not take action against federations for participation in AIDA or more to our point WAA events?
B) Does this mean WAA being not “Underwater Hockey” is sufficient to side step the whole banning of athletes issue and not affect those who might compete in a future CMAS UWH events, ie. CMAS games 2009 or European championships?

Thanks,
-Scott

Just wanted to ask another question with regard to the CMAS/Aquachallenge connection which has been bought up in another thread awhile ago.

If UWH has made a break from CMAS to become WAA why is there such a close connection to CMAS on the WAA web page? From the actual web address,

http://www.cmasuwhc.org.au/index.htm

WTD email address,

hendg@cmas.org

and reference to CMAS throughout the site?

Given that there was such an issue with the so called "copyright" of Underwater Hockey and having to rename our sport and association, surely this would be a rather severe breach? Or is there some sort of agreement between CMAS and WAA that we are not aware of?

Good point Gav8.

My ongoing apologies for not getting this interview done. The fault is with myself & Belle not WTD he's waiting patiently.
To be honest we will struggle to arrange a special trip to Melbourne to sit down with WTD in the next month or so.

Any volunteers to be a podcaster in Melbourne? If some one could do this it would help the information chain regarding these issues.
