REFs Love 'em Hate 'em Lets make 'em BETTER

Ok so I hope this works. Lets try and be constructive and civil and start posting examples of good calls, bad calls, and especially debateable calls. Link or embed a click youtube or other such site and give a little explanation relevant to the clip. Please don't post something just to try point out to the world one individuals mistake, but use this to move us all forward in forming a base from which we can interpret the rules of the game more clearly.

If this doesn't work I will try and compile into one thread a list of links to other threads (so far by jols and sven) that discuss individual fouls.

to Start I was going to reply in the "puck to the arm thread" but decided it would continue to pull off topic. So here 'tis.

So you reckon you've got a video of someone with the puck getting rugby tackled while they had the puck, in a game I reffed? I'd be keen to see that. Bring it to Durban please.
I can't seem to be able to extract the video from the disc, i can try harder later. It is pretty difficult to see anyway. I could get capture pics i will try and post.

Andrew, not sure what your memory is but it sounded like you were upset this had been called just an advantage puck or some such. Unless there was a different one, but I ddin't see it happen in this game, NZ v. USA 2002. This was called a penalty goal with a 2 min in the box.

Beautifully displayed and 'commentated', thanks Tuck! :-) Well - except for the video quality!!! :-) Can someone bring the video to Durban!? Cheers, Simon.

Sure thing. Its been a while since i'd watched any of the 2002 games. Makes me appreciate the video quality in Sheffield.

I'll try and remember to bring this with me... it is however in NTSC format not PAL.
