| What restrictions? You prefer 'throw 12 people in the water and free-for-all until someone hits the back of the goal and holds it in long enough for the refs to notice'? Games have rules, that's part of what makes them games... ![]() And besides, I thought you liked skills Sven? Imagine never having a team put 5 people on the wall against you ever again...

| With this setup we can get rid of the stupid corner rule as well since only two players would be allowed to go there. Well, except in cases like sheffield where the 6M lines up with the sidewall.

Yes i like skills. But by rules say 2 front players/ 2 defenders and 1 goaly is a restriction in every way. The rules say that way how the basic tactic must be. So there is no real freedom in tacticks. And how underwaterhockey is played there is that freedom. More skillfull play that way...No When there are 6 players in the water you need more skills. like by bashing agains 5 players by the wall. you really need skills because otherwise you will not win from those 5 players. When there are only 2. (2 attacers or 2 defenders or 1 gooly) You can easyly hit yourself trouch them and there will be NO skill nessesairy.

| Actually it creates much more complex tactics, as you have to figure out how to use all of your players efficiently and effectively in different areas of the pool. 2 vs 3, 3 vs 2, 4 vs 4, how to duck back into different zones to use other players allowing you to structure another attack. The variations are much wider than the tactical scrummaging that most hockey is today. Easily trouce them yourself because there are only two of them? You must play some interesting opposition. Now and again I come up against 5 frenchmen on the wall, and most of the time it's a painful experience, with very little quality stick skills involved - especially to the eye of the viewing public... Also, the game in the middle of the pool mostly wouldn't change (the reduction in numbers being quite small), but it has the benefit of no longer having to deal with 12 people on the back wall trying to deal with the damn corners.

| Hi there, I really like your new rules. It seems that the game will be really faster thanks to 2 players vs 2. This play shows more the individual capacities of the players than those of the team. However what I prefer in uwh is the team spirit, the necessary cohesion that the players must have to play together, have a good tactic and win. But I think it could be a really interessant game for training because, players could improve their skills, 1 to 1 exercices and swim a lot. (do you allow me to use it in my training sessions ? or is there a copyright ?? ;-)

| More important i find the idea that was trown away some times ago. to replais players that are hit/damaged by the opponent, so they cant play anymore. so the reason for doing that and that way get more sidesubbing players then the other team is gone. Now its possible you lose 2 or 3 players in the beginning from the game and after 5 minuts there will be a compleet team back against you but there is by yourself only 1 side subbing player left. (experiance) And the reffs do not see all hits so you can be happy iff there are given time penalties for hitting/ flicking. players out off the game. iff you want more fair play that was a good idea. (this idea was at the same games when there was ideas for fiber-fins)

| Um, what? You've actually played against teams that set out to hurt players badly enough to put them out of the game? That's bad enough in itself. So just imagine a game where the players and there actions weren't obscured by so many writhing bodies, and the refs could see them do it and give them total dismissal...
