| I think free subbing should be the norm whenever the game is out of play. I.e. any time the ref has stopped it. As long as you don't have 7 in the water when the game starts again, who cares?

| I think the free subbing after a goal that Tuck refers to _does_ allow 7 in the wafer, as long as there are only 6 when the game is restarted. At least, that's how it was played in the Dutch comps last year... |

In the dutch competition we have Side subbing. But indeed. When subbing after a gool there was a moment possible to have 7 players in the water. But when the game was restart there were only 6 allowed in the playing field.

| Although I really like the idea of allowing the free subbing during free pucks I don't think it is as practical as other times. I REALLY like how much faster the play got started in sheffield for advantage/equal pucks compared to most comps. Not sure how much longer it might take to have the deck ref re-check to make sure there are appropriate numbers before starting the play. Granted it *SHOULD* just be a glance to each sub box, but still... i'd be happy enough with after goals and ANYtime the clock is stopped.
