Setting up a CLUB

I am part of a grouip of players (About 20 or 30) or so that turn up once a week for a social game of hockey.
We have done this for over 15 years at least now. I feel it is time to set up and official club to get some organisation and look after all players saftey, insurance and things like that! We currently just pay a small entry pool fee and that is it.
Hoe do I or we as a grouip of players set a Club or Commitie up??

I cant help you with that. Iff you were in the netherlands i can help you. I now all the things and rules for the netherlands. for beginning a club. But i dont now them for the other side off the world. :cry:

Become members of the VUHC! Form a sub-committee of the VUHC for the Warragul division, as there kind of is in wonthaggi. I know that Wonthaggi used to be a separate entity to the VUHC however they found that rising insurance costs made it more affordable to join the VUHC where there are a greater number of players therefore bringing the costs down.

Not sure how the VUHC committee is currently structured but perhaps at least the two ordinary member positions could be dedicated to the regional centres... country reps that are able to keep communication up with regional centres such as Ballarat, Geelong, Wonthaggi, Warragul, Leongatha, etc.

I have contacted my local council sporting development officer, she is going to help me sort it out!
