AUSTRALIAN NATIONALS JANUARY 2008, MELBOURNE

Australian Nationals will be held in Melbourne, January 2007.
Will keep all up dated as information comes in.
I have heard some international teams will be attending.

The nationals are between the 17th to 20th of jan 2008 at the MSAC swim center Albert Park and probably training camp straight after this for at least two days for Australian team.
Some international teams may be compeating, Singapore, NZ, Japan, and maby barbariens team from europe! (I said maby)

Is there a guarantee the broken pool tiles will be fixed, and I don't mean just the pool telling us that.

Also what form is planned for the competition? will it be the same as Perth?

With the worlds being such a hit in 3 meters is this a consideration for the nationals in Melbourne?

The dates have slightly changed to the 17th-20th of Jan 2008. I hear there will also be a training camp/selections for the Aus women's team on the 21st and 22nd.

Im pretty sure there is a legal aggrement regarding the tial issue. As you would be aware it is not cheep to hire MSAC so all will be done to make sure the tials are up to scratch.

There is a meeting very soon of the organising commitie so I will endiver to answear all your other questions after that.

For all of you that are not aware, MSAC, the venue for the Melbourne nationals is a world class pool, well at least that was its intention. It was going to be Hockeys premiear venue, wiht an awsome bottom, UNTILL THE TIALS JUST STARTED POPPING OFF THE BOTTOM. Huge sections of the tials from the bottom and the sides just peal off, nothing to do with hockey. Industrial divers do their best to re lay, but they just keep popping off. Huge problem.

It has a 3 mt court, not sure it we are using it.

Hey - here's a question - do we have to be members of the AUF to play at the Nationals this year? Since we are boycotting the world champs in Bari are we also boycotting everything else CMAS related?

Hi Belle, I know there was a meeting of the Vic commission whilst I was in Rome. Can you fill us all in with what is happening with the nationals and my previous questions. ie the 3m court ect.
