The finals will be....

Juniors - Victoria vs Western Australia
Women - Victoria vs New South Wales
Open - Victoria vs Western Australia

Not sure about the Masters Final, will keep you posted!!

jols, baabaa results....

went through double round robin, 1st round winning all games with close affairs against WA and Tassie, winning margin only 1-3 goals or so in those games, second round lost a game to WA 4-2 and won all the others including a blow-out against Tassie 13-0.

played a knock-about game against the aussie squad selection today for about an hour with no referees or breaks in play, was very hard work for everyone! will play against them or in some manner tomorrow as well. baabaas had the better of the session today.

as no other results are posted yet, i'll say congrats to the vic mens team who won the comp for the first time since... 1978 i think it was? they burgled the final against most bookies odds today against WA, vic women also won their final against nsw. sorry i didnt see the results of the other grades, too bust getting ready for the 50m sprint race.

• Open mens Vic 2 def WA 1
• Ladies Vic 3 def NSW 2
• Masters WA won
• Juniors WA won

I believe that the last time that Vic Mens won gold was 1978!
We'll have an interview with the Victorian captain (Reese) shortly to hear how big a triumph that was yesterday.

Australian selections are taking place right now so we should have team lists as soon as they are finalized by the selectors.

Photos of the finals will be posted for all to enjoy and download later today so keep an eye out.

umm...it's been longer than 1978 since VIC men won...

Dad (snow) seems to think VIC hasn't won the title since the 1976/77 Nationals in Minlaton, SA (it was a QLD v VIC final) and then QLD won it in the next year 1977/78.

It was a great game to watch this year - as were all the finals.

And congrads to the VIC women, WA Masters and WA juniors.
