Maybe some off you like that chanche in play. It does get the play away from the wall. The weak point in the more offence play is still the defence. Now they must look how to play like this and not let there defencive players be trickt into the play and so make the way free to there own gool/bin.(i now it can. We tryed it with the rotation system and then it works) The defence stayed intact and the offence was good. (for Jols...That was on a game every other team presant like gov/ova/dordrecht, said before the game that Tilburg had no chanch at all. And must be happy not to lose with 12-0 or more. Strance WE WON! with 7-3) Quote:
More is this topic to say that there is a chanche in the playingstyle. And i hope more players see it. So we can learn from each other. And that we are in the good way were we made some chanches what some people said out here after some discussions. (remember the long discusion about the rotation system from Tilburg) Quote:

| hi sven, sorry i actually cant remember reading about a doomsday attack, or rotations...? which thread was that? but sounds like your attack from "heavy" players is basically a second phase attack as the midfields and backs catch up to the forwards (who have been slowed by the opposition), and continue the attack. kinda funny but it's often when teams are attempting "heavy" attacks like this, which move slowly and require lots of bodies to force the puck through the defence, that they actually end up overcommitting their defenders as the backs move up into the mess... and it gives the opposition a chance to make the breakouts that you mentioned in the first place. so yeah, it is related i think. not too sure that there are more breakouts nowadays though... in fact, personally i tend to see less and less breakaway goals at higher level games.... jols is right there are far more breakaways in more social games as generally not so much emphasis is placed on positioning and formations tend to break down more often... (also tackles are broken more often due to the fact that the level of players tends to vary more in social games than it does when everyone has been training for hockey), but it probably depends on where you are.... different ways of playing go in waves in different areas i guess and differing strengths of teams vary over time too, as well as organisation of teams. your team is obviously very well organised sven so you probably are a lot more consistent in terms of formation etc than some of your opposition over a timescale of years... and you obviously put more thought into tactics than probably anyone anywhere so i'm sure thats an advantage as well.

There we had a discussion about. About the doomsday offence we never had a discussion. So did call a opponent a few weaks ago the "heavy"offence by 2 heavy weight. What resulted in the tactick chanch by them that the did get the order to attack with all 6 players when an attack by 2 off those heavy players began. What resulted in all opponents by 2 players and 4 players free to recieve the puck and close in after the heavy weights. What resulted in an easy break out by our offencive players.

But yes we alway try to improve our tacticks. Thats why discussion about good or bad tacticks is important. Especialy here. were the most important uwh players etc are to help or discus.
