| quote Bram Quote:
Most important by a 4x4 is to win the kick-off (startpuck) If possible keep the momentum, thus keep swimming (with the puck ) keep close together at all times. You mis 2 players that you are used to have. So a mistake or losing the puck can easly result in a gool against you. When i have time i place some kick off ways, break open ways etc. you can use by a 4x4 game out here with a drawing.

| Does it not such a game require much skillful players than games with 6x6, I mean in basketball 3x3 game is much more skilfull than 5x5 which requires more of a tactic play. The 5x5 still depends on which kind of a game you prefer more: american or european style of play, as for european most of the time is zonal play as for american two players can handle one opponent not much than 1.2 seconds. Wouldn't this kind of restriction make also UWH much more interesting if there were only clashes in mano a mano situation, just imagine seeing Benson or Guillaume style players really exlploiting their full potential and also make this sport of a sponsor catcher. Also by restricting the space around player with a puck with only one guy there in that very space could also make this game more dynamic from swimming point of view and the size of a pool could be used much more than previous but also it could be less endurable for the sunday players - like 4x4 where lot of players after few minutes just float around. ???? |

| no, i think it does not require more skilful oplayers, because one has more space to develope some sort of play. yes, skilfull players can use the space better, but i think in 4x4 game its a matter of speed. the quicker you are, the better you use free space. in 4x4 games it oftem cames dowm to 2 on 1 situations, so you need to capitalize these situations. yes, maybe skills are optional, but on the other hand getting the job done its more essential. you need to be derad functional.

| Speed only works if you have the support for when it gets stopped by the other team's speed or their properly positioned back to prevent speed from taking advantage. Think of playing keep away until your scoring opportunity opens up then hit it.

| the quicker you are, the better you use free space... no. the better you use free space, the better you use free space. skills are important here but probably more so is timing. speed is pointless if you can't use the space to create overlaps, beat players with passes etc.

| I see the 4-4 as a great way to test the technical "good" player. But also a way to introduce UWH as a game to new people in the team. For them it's their first-ever experience with the game. 4-4 means less people and more playtime for them. Ofcourse the opposition has to be limited, we don't want them to play against great players. |

| I agree, when we have groups of beginners, it is easier with fewer players. It's confusing for them to work out their positions with 6 players in. Four is ideal - 2 forwards and 2 backs.
