Some result we experianced with the already "to"much tested Dutchy puck.
Maybe when tested a new puck our results will be compleet different. I was hoping that the new puck were deliverd (to bad they are still in costum service)

The test are been done with the knuffelwuppie series sticks and the SZN-1 left handed stick. And the EXEL stick.

THe test are been done at a bothem with tiles and a moveble bothem.

The material:

The materials are the same as the CanAm universal pucks.
The outside shell/rubber is relative soft. At some place you can see that the puck is going to be broke. This can be the result when the puck is been flickt against the small side from a gool. Or some object on the pool bothem.

This is the same experiance we have with the CanAm guelp en universal pucks.

The top and bothem plate:

Maybe the plates were different as the original Dutchy pucks. Like you can read early in this topic the plates were broken at some time. The plates are different from the universal pucks. The same material but a different form/design. This material is good material for the plates. and are not easy to be broken.

Testing the puck:
(read the remarks made on top off this posting)

Most important and first impresson was that its not easy glyding in the pool. THe plates are below the outside rubber outside from the puck. This has on all the test influence on the results. Where the universal puck glyde on the plate. the dutchy did not glide.

Making a dummy:

Good controll. But again because the puck did not glide. its the puck did not glide away from the stick even wehndoining the move wrong.. When doing the same move with a universal puck you loos the puck when doing the move wrong.

Flicking forwards:

Good to do. It,s a new design and each desing has other ways how to flick. The puck was easy to aim at 1 point. But when to puck had again contact with the pool bothem is was dropt dead at that point.

Glyding test:

The first test was. "pushing without force" the puck from a slant place at the pool bothem.
The puck did not glide to the deeper place, the Universal glide to the bothem below.

THe second test was. to push the puck away with a stick. Again the puck did not slide. It was possible to push the puck away some little distance, but when pushing harder it became flicking.

Fist impression with this wore out puck. In basic a good desing. Maybe it's a idea to make the plates a little bit thikker. When its 0,2 mm outside the puck. Then the puck will slide as the best. THe design is looking like a Bontje puck. With some little differents,

In basic a good puck that is not to expensive for clubs and single players.

Some photo's
At this photo you can see the beginning crake at the puck side.

At this photo i was trying to focus at the point plate/outside rubber. Where the rubber is slowing be loose from the plate.(on the top off the photo) At the greem point beside the red.

Beside those 2 points where the puck is going to be wore out/break/broken first the normal player damage is not mensioned/told. But all pucks have those

Did recieve today my own Dutchy pucks.(and some uni1 pucks)
Nive made pucks. And the disk plates were outside the rubber/plastic outside. So they will hopefully glide well.

Sweet Looking Pucks!!!

Very nice looking pucks... They are dutchys and Uni2's.... good luck with the testing, you will see these are on the light side ~1.15kg...I am looking to increase the weight to 1.25-1.3kg. They are still awesome pucks at this lighter weight, but the extra heaviness is a good thing.

How are you going to increase the total weight of your pucks?

Please,let us know.
Thank you,

Weight Increase

I have room for an increase in the size of the lead core. I will not change the overall dimensions of the puck.

THe Dutchys are nice pucks. Only the less point still are the top and bothem plates on them.

THe testing Dutchy was the top and bothem plate compleet gone. And by that the puck did not slide anymore.

By the new Dutchy's the plate is a fraction outside the puck and by that they slide very well. Only that little bit outside is fast gone when playing.

Hi Sven,
I am assuming you tested the dutchy on a rough bottom pool? These pucks are not made for rough or semi-rough bottoms. Only glass bottom tiles and the plate does not wear on this type of tile. How did the uni2 fair on this same bottom?

Hello Steve.
Beside i still like the Dutchy puck. And i thank you for making those.

I did test the most pucks on a glass tile bothem. But 1 also on a rough(semi rough) moveble bothem. But as long as the plates are outside the puck its a nice puck. When the puck plates are a little thinner what will happen after playing a time (on every bothem*) i will replace the plates by plate from a compleet broken Universal. And see how they then play.

I can not say on what bothem Simon and Jols did play with the test puck. A fact was that those plates were far inside that puck. And that was the reason why that (testing) puck was not sliding anymore.

THe uni2 did bounch and bobble on some of those tile bothems. By the same reason you can read in the UNI2 discusion.

*(on every bothem) Because there is always a little space between the tiles. And there is a bobble between the tiles and the gool.
