Having tested most of different BREIER FIBRE options, I believe that the best solution is currently : - Foot pocket : Breier custom made - Hardness: hard Foot pocket ranking: 1. BREIER Custom made (extra light but 0% angle (foot/blade) = competition) 2. Beuchat (light + 17% angle = medium solution) 3. Imersion (heavy + 17% angle +solid = training) You will forget your Quattro as soon as you will get use to BREIER fins. Where are you from? A local contact can perhaps offer you to try the fins. You can purchase BREIER fins here : Brussels Underwater Hockey Subaquatique - BREIER UWH FINS ORDER Yours, Romain

| What difference does the Angle make? What benefits does 0% give you over 17% (or vica versa)? Also, I am a rather large (ok Large) guy with a strong fast kick... does that mean I should lean towards the Imersion foot pocket? I dont want to break these fins after using them for a very short while. Josh Wells

I am pretty sure the 17% contour allows the fin to follow the straight line of your leg down towards the end of the fin. The 0% means after the fin is on your foot the fin then follows the line of your foot Make sense?

You are perfectly right about the % Monster. The new BREIER footpocket is still currently in a testing phase and not sell yet. The new footpocket is indeed planned to be presented in BREDA. Josh, you don't want the Imersion foot pocket. If you want to find similar feelings you had with Quattro go for the BEUCHAT foot pocket. From my experience, the hardness hard is the best option for large players. BREIER products are far more resistant than other fiber fins (like Leader fins for example). But they are of course not as solid as plastic fins. We are testing BREIER products since the end of 2006. In average the life time of the fins is around 10 months (more or less regarding the care you take of this product). BUT you have to be extremely careful in manipulating the fins and you cannot walk on poolside with the fins and have to avoid jumping into the pool with the fins.

No report. We have several "legs defender" testing the fins but none of them has reported yet (almost two years testing now) breaking their fins with a puck shot.

I have been testing the Breier fins since end 2006 or start 2007. Still playing with them, had some puck shots on them and nothing major to report. As I have one of the first ones made, the glue on the sides comes of from time to time, but that's about it for now. I have the custom made foot pocket with 0% angle. Played lots of uwh and uwr tournaments with them and they don't even have a crack so far. Meanwhile I have also tested the ones with the Beuchat foot pocket, which also gave a very good result. The blade is caught a bit more integrated and slightly stiffer, without passing to the next level of blade stiffnes. This sort of "intermediate level" works better for me. For optimal comfort, the custom made foot pocket is the best though.
