Fin dimensions

Can people at home with access to their fins please post some dimensions for me?

Would like:
Total length,
Blade length (from the end of the footpocket) and
Maximum width.

Alas, quattros, tre, leaders, nemos if possible.

Cheers boys and girls,

Benson

Haven't you got anything better to do Bennie? Hmmm.. well, me either.

Here you go, Ala's, size 8 - 9,5 (42-44), slightly worn and I have a tendency to stretch the footpockets mightily, but these are still ok(ish)::

Colour: black
Texture: kind of slippery and nice, would not be out of place in a little shop in the centre of Amsterdam

Length: 600 mm, measuring from bottom, base of heel to end of fin. The middle of the blade at the end is a little shorter than the longest part.. for that add maybe 13 mm.

Width max: 245 mm, at around 85 mm back from the end of the fin.

Footpocket: approx 285 mm, again on the bottom, measured to where the blade really starts.

Total blade length is about 313 mm, in middle. See earlier comment about different lengths in blade. You can get some error out of this with the footpocket measurement also.

And (damn it) just discovered a split in the edge of the blade at 237 mm from the end on the left side.

This doesn't happen to be related to discussions with a mister Fisher, does it?

Good. A mate is importing some Leaderfin Games 2006's for me and others to try out here.

Same ones that Liam managed to lose up in Aucks . It'll be good to have something to compare against eventually. I take it you have a master plan of some sort?

How's about a review of the NEMO fins? I'd like to know some comparisons for foot pocket size and comfort on those things.

If anyone in Auckland wants to try, Phil Clayton owns a pair of medium stiffness. He considers them to be unwearable planks, but YMMV. I can provide contact details.

todd is an unknown quantity at this point
a few people here have used them, but they were slow before using them - and if anything they slowed down even more since wearing them

they don't seem to get the kicking speed up high enough to actually get some speed from them
