i have one of the sloveninan gloves like Mareh's pic. i used to use a BOA competition glove, which was way too bulky and slow and fat and just awful. It was like a boxing glove, where as my new one's more like a golf glove, but it still gives enough protection that i don't get bashed to ****. I'd say it's certainly the best glove i've played with and everyone i know that has one seems to like them alot.
However. i'm faced with a dilema.......my slovenian glove is quite small and tight, which is a good thing, but i'm thiunking of cutting the palm but i'm not sure how the glove would take to it because it's so thin and i obviously don't want to turn it into a mangled mess. anyone else have any thoughts on this?

If you cut out the palm, you will give te glove some breathing space. If you give cut too much, the glove will "slide" arround your upper knuckles just a little bit during the game.

I always cut out the palm and two middle fingers. the other three fingers hold the glove still while the rest of the glove is "breathing".
all the best
Marko

Thought I might add in a bit more to the discussion beyond the poll questions. For starters up until and for parts of Worlds in Sheffiled I was using the Orca gloves switching back and forth white/black depending on stick color, and doing that for the past sevral years. I have never cut out the palm, just seemed to shorten the usable life of the glove and not really add the "feel" for the stick it was rumored to. I might try it now with one of the extras I have just to give it a try again.

I have tried the grip tape/electrical tape gloves so popular in Eastern Canada, and actually found them to be quite heavy and feel even bulkier than a latex golve. I"ve tried to make my own, and well I don't have the patience or time to create anything to match the workmanship or quality of the Orca glove. I thought these gloves were as light and fast as I needed until about april of last year I was introduced to Marko's Slovenian gloves. Wow.

I had been using the ultralight competition style for worlds, though those gloves and some of the pool bottoms here in the states don't get along and they developed holes around the first knuckle very quickly. I just got one of the more thickly padded red variety like in Marah's avatar and well it is the bomb! These make the Orca glove feel like a 20oz Boxing glove and the Tru-Blue bannana finger gloves feel, well like bannana's taped to your fingers.

I believe for some a custom made glove is the way to go, but I don't have the time/materials/patience to even come close to the quality of glove as Marko's.

With the materials i use, this would be impossible. i buy larger quantities of silicone and rubber, mixing them together in controlled enviroment. it's hard even for me sometimes. ask Benny, he'll tell you .

I've just tired my mate's MKI glove from the BOA shop and i have to say its a hundred time better than the Pro glove which i normally use, its much faster in the water and although there is a little less padding, even in a hard fight for the puck i never found it was too little.
So i think my next octopush investment will be one of these gloves!
