breiers have a softer (thinner rubber maybe?) foot pocket with actual space for your foot. just ergonomically better, but still nothing like a good shoe.

I don't know if I agree that Leaders are faster than Breiers. Haven't timed them against each other but subjectively not much difference.

Hurt factor on Breiers? Very very good. Foot pocket is very comfortable. Only problem I have is some rubbing on the side of my heel from the strap, my toes and feet have never looked more attractive than with Breiers.

Durability... hmm... after 3-4 sessions already had to use the superglue to fix some lifting rubber. We will see how they go long term.

Same feelings here. I use it since January. My heel felt hurted by the strap at the begining but now it is ok. Same experience about the Superglue, but Eric said it to me when I went to buy the finsm so it is not a surprise.

Remains a big question mark... I know someone who had a pair for about 3 months and the blade is now in two pieces. 4 pairs a year is a bit much when they cost around 170 Euro (for the Americans, at the current exchange rate that is about 10,000 USD). Hopefully that was an anomaly.

FYI: he had medium hardness and kicks like a little girl, so you can't really say that he overstressed them. He does play a lot though, so they were used for a few tournaments and maybe 3 times a week for training etc in this period.

It cant be 10,000 US$... 170eur is something like 250usd, so for 4 blades thats 1000$.

BTW... thats the price for a spare blade??? 170 eur??? Thats insane ! Someone is charging hell'of a lot for a blade.

After I'm done with my new fins, I'll go into development of carbon fibre fin for hockey. But already now, I know that the price for new pair of blades wont be 170eur, and hopefully there is a good chance they wont break at all with a normal use, and even if they do, the spare blade shouldnt cost more than 50-60 eur - and thats for carbon fibre, that is even more costly than fiberglass or vitroplast!

170 euro for a new pair. I am not sure if he sells blades separately to be honest.

I am keen to try your new fin as well, maybe I can try the pair that you send to Duck at Worlds (although my foot size is more like 40-42).

I'll let you try them with my inserts, that tends to tighten them up nicely. That is, if I remember to pack them. I'm writing it on my packing list right now... done.

Ok... 170 eur for new fin, if its a low series fin it can be understandable, still its a very high price. I'm thinking of the highest 200 eur for my fin, but only for its for custom variant, with footpocket made specially for one user, and the superior and best possible material for the fin. The normal price should be somewhere between 100-130 eur.

I've come across some problems with temperatures and shrinkages in the production, that took away whole last week to fix, and I'm still not sure I nailed it. I would like to send you my new fin, but I'll only do it if I'm satisfied 100%. I know how this things go. When I show it for first time, everyone will be critical about it, and I dont want to give anyone the unnecessary reasons. But I'm still hoping I'll get things done before Durban and Istanbul. The number of the fin will not be a problem, that much I know already now, so if I make them on time, Jols you'll get 40-42, Tuck-Duck will get 42-44 and 44-46, to show it on Durban tournament. My team will bring it on Istanbul. I'll be cheering&watching back home, while working on my job....
