We have two sets, one I think is with Miles Ho right now. He's the only one that has built up to using them on a regular basis... man that guy needs to play tournaments, such a waste of pure talent... any way my brother has the other pair. Both are "medium" blade stiffness and both were trial pairs, but I think we ended up buying at some kind of discount both pairs. Not sure but I know we're not sending 'em back. I don't see how or anyreason to get stiffer than the medium blade stiffness. Blair has been in contact with the rep, you need to talk to him about what he was asking but they were saying they can put almost any footpocket on the fins. |

| The Technisub IDEA's are still going ok. No real stress marks to note as yet. A few other guys have started using them now also so it will be interesting how they fair. We did some time trialling yesterday and a couple of guys used the IDEA's and then the Ala's. Over 25m u/w the Ala's were generally 0.5-1 second quicker. I also tried a large pair of the Leader fins and although they felt quick the largest size was not big enough for my hoofs. If someone could come up with that balde in a comfortable foot pocket they would be on a winner. Guess I'll stick to the IDEA's as a training fin for now and unwrap my new Ala's from cotton wool for comps! And no Kelly, you're still not using them! |

| one of the guys here found a couple of interesting looking options from a cressisub website. looked like the new generation of cressi rondine pro? they looked ok... like the old rondines, same size as alas. anyone seen a pair around? |

| I started trialling the Leaders-fiberglass blade fins lately. I still havent gone for longer than 5-6 points, but Im going to try building up my feet to a point to where i can use them in a high level weekend this summer. The response is great-first and second kick acceleration is way up. Top speed seems similar to my normal fins (Q's/L's/twarons). blades are shorter, and i feel a bit better maneuverability. im really starting to enjoy them. |

| I found the STRATOS FP were real ankle killers, after 2 or 3 games of intense hockey you really felt it, and you lost performance just because you didnt want to kick any harder. |

| that might be because the foot pocket is stiff all the way up the underside of the fin. unlike some other fins like the alas, which flex halfway down the foot, or the excel which seem to flex at the toe, the stratos leave the flex to the ankle area... maybe that increases strain there. but heck lots of fins do that... tres, quattros both have stiff foot pockets. |

What?? You don't have a stretching routine? start one... legs arms trunk it'll help your whole game. well the easiest one for the ankles is a common swimmers stretch. just squat down on your knees with your toes facing behind you so your bum is on your heels. Keep your back straight and your head high. When this no longer stretches very well lean back. Do this slowly, three or so times ~:30 a go. |
