7-8 millimetres of protection over the knuckles is nothing compared to some of the gloves being used.

Our gloves are designed so that the places you take the most impact (knuckles...) have sort of a square protecting it.

Duck said: "What is a good glove for hockey? It is a glove which allows a player to use his skills and offers a bit of protection for the few times that he does get hit with the puck on his playing hand" - this describes Todd's glove. It's made for him: he likes his gloves light but still offer protection over his hand should he get hit.

But, having said that - our gloves aren't perfect - we know that, but they are working for us at the moment. All by trial and error.

2 - 3mm...

do you play against 10 year olds?

or is it that the glove itself you begin with is also coated with 2 - 3mm?

or perhaps you have a super glove

No i'm left handed and very fast in my movements.
THats also why i made glove that fitts like a second skin to hands.
Simply they do not hit my hand...... 8)
And no i train only juniors i do not play against them.
Therefore we have a compleet junior competition and a 3 classes senior competition.

For the record I have been testing Svens gloves because he sent me it for free to try.

I can honistly say I like it, it has great freedom, flexability and is very pink! (The girls love the pink gloves) The protection is a little light on compaired to what I currently use, but Im getting use to it. Im sure If I really wanted Sven could modify the protecton for me.

For the price of AUS $17.00 plus postage, this glove is a bargan and extreamily affordable for Club, School or National reps to use.

How exciting is it to be sent equipment from the other side of the world to try for free and to be able to give constructive feedback for further development.

Keep up the great work and passion for Under Water Hockey equipment Sven.

Cheers
Belle

Hello to all

I am the guy that makes the "slovenian" gloves. I am a bit surprised to see all the noise about the gloves.
In fact is like this:

i make the best gloves in the world :P

just kidding. every one is entitled to his own opinion.

some gloves are good, and some are not. Which gloves are better i wont comment, because i never tried any other glove than my own, couse there was no need.
i never played the hard way, only the sweet way

But i can say this. What makes a good glove?

it has to be just big enough (not too small, not too big- some player prefer just a bit smaller gloves).
it needs to be comfortable, i prefer to use soft cotton gloves.
it has to be ergonomical. a lot of players (other than cave players) dont just hold the stick in the same way. How they hold the stick depends on the skills they are using.

So when you find your fighting style, you find your glove. If you are a "cave"player, you need 10 mm of padding all over the glove. But if you are not, and you feel like a "jedi knight", you need a different type of glove.

And another thing
I never use 2K silicons, couse, as far as i ve seen, its a bit softer, and it tends to tear on rough tiles + you need a thicker padding to absorb the same shock,
even though it takes only 15 min to harden. with 1K materials that i use (i never told you they come from Albania =>thats WEST of Macedonia), i have found a compromise that works fine for me, and some other hockey players worldwide that are very satisfied with the glove.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Otherwise i am gone.

All the best

M

P.S. Why is it so hard to get the gloves? i dont know

What do you mean with 1k and 2K
I have 2 sorts sillocon i can use. But one off them i do not use for gloves.(to soft)

NOT
The to soft one sillicone (2 components on 1 to 1 base) Basic colour orange(harden in 30 minuts)(NOT FOR GLOVES!)

DO USE
The sillicone i use for gloves (1 component sillicon and put in it harder so it is 2 component.) harden in 5 to 15 minuts(FOR GLOVES)

But the sillicon i use feel not like your gloves. I find your glove more feel like silicon rubber.

It is sort of silicone rubber, i make it myself or should i say mix it myself. its sort of similar material that technisub used for ALA fins, just different mixing ratio. I think this mixture is very durable. Thats why the padding is thin . But i wont say more

all the best M

Hi All,
I tried one of Svenīs gloves last night at hockey. Unfortunetly it is too big for me but beside that it was very comfortable and felt quite quick. However it didnīt have enough protection for me and I ended up with a bruised knukle. I think the glove would have been a lot better if it fitted properly and I am sure Sven could add more padding for those that are not blessed with his speed of hand.

Cheers,
Tan
