| Producing the glove to fit one's hand perfectly, can be done without molding it directly on the hand. But, its much more difficult to do. The problem would be easilly solved, if there would be material with equal performance of silicone, but would in time, shape to fit the user. No such material out there... at least not one with all the good performance of silicone. If you cut the slovenian glove, dont forget to put a layer of silicone on the edges. Edges tend to tear apart if not siliconized. Any silicon for plumming fixtures, will do the job just fine. |

| mass producing high quality gloves for lower tier players would be a great thing and make it a lot easier for new players to get into the sport but as you progress further in competition a perfectly fitting glove makes all the difference. have a look at other sports - soccer for instance - the top players have boots specially made for them. surfers have boards tailored to their specific needs, height and weight. so realistically a well made home made glove will never be replaced by mass produced gloves |

Agreed, thats the case here. But dont forget that football players arent doing equipment themself, but professional manufacturer does that for them. Skills for making the glove are quite different from skills used in uwh play. |

| Too tight silicone gloves I have been making and selling silicone gloves for many years now and in your instance of, "My glove seems to be somewhat unflexible, when the silicone was setting I left it on my hand (which which in a stick holding position) for about 1 and a half hours, so it is roughly in position, but it seems quite tight round the fingers when it is fully griping the stick. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?" Then answer is very simple. The silicone is contracting as it cures and also because your hand was in the "stick holding position". However, if you were to simply hold your hand in a closed fist position as the silicone cures, the shape of your fingers will be more than what you need for the stick holding position. Therefore, you can essentially open up your hand slightly to grip the stick and it won't feel tight anymore. |
