| Diagrams of warm-up / beginner training exercises? Hi All, I have recently started up a club in Zürich, Switzerland and now have about a dozen really enthusiastic beginners that have all started within the last three weeks. We have an hour of warm-up time (lane swimming with fins) followed by 3/4 hour of actual play time that we can use for skills training and play. Because everyone is new, no one has either the equipment or the experience to practice their manoeuvres or skills at home, so each week is like starting from the beginning again. I have given all of them copies of the Mary-Anne Stacey skills notes that are on the Underwater Hockey Tourist, but does anyone have anything even more basic than that? What I really want to give them is diagrams of warm-up exercises designed to exercise wrist, elbow, shoulder and the other necessary joints and muscles, but also the most basic of skills, prior to getting to the Mary-Anne level. If I have to devise them myself I will, but it would be a lot quicker and a lot more effort if such diagrams already exist. Many thanks in advance for any assistance, Martin - from the land of chocolate and cowbells Underwater Hockey Switzerland - Unterwasserhockey Schweiz - Hockey Subaquatique Suisse - Hockey Subaqueo Svizzera Last edited by martinreed : 01-07-09 at 11:12 AM. |
