Unfortunately just reading about it is causing me pain. Much like seeing a skater drop on the rail. My whole body is cringing. But really is a swift kick is the worst you have to offer, you got off easy, so to speak.

While defending my goal along the wall I got my knee caught on a broken tile.
Gushing knee and 8 stitches, but they didn't score.

As a wise man once said: hurts heal, chicks dig scars and glory last forever ;-)

Caught a puck in my left eye once, had a first day at work the next day. Nobody believed my story (who believes that uwh exists anyway). Everyone there just thought I had a fight during the weekend . No serious damage though (especially when compared to the above stories) but looked like a fool for 3 weeks with a bruise the size of The Netherlands on my face.

The first minuut of the tournament the oponent shot a puck under my eye.
Three hours in the hospital as a result. (for some glue under my eye )

And i also had a collision against my ear.... 1 month outside the pool.

Because UWH is one of the sport where realy serious damages (except for a broken neck....) are not part of the game, we made a special place for all the scratches and blue marks (preferably at visible place as the head). We also have an independent jury which gives points for the best scoring mark!!!

That is a super page, Raymond, nice one!

Worst injury would have to be similar to Tuck's.. tried to block a pass and broke a bone in my hand. Was studying at the time and at student health was told it probably wasn't broken and to keep using my hand. One week, a competent doctor, an operation, and two pins later I now have a finger that doesn't quite do what it is supposed to.

Apart from that a few 3-4 stitch cuts on my hands and legs.. one through my glove which made the rest of the tournament painful. Broken front teeth (from a stick not a puck), a collection of scars under my chin and a nice one on my back from someone who tried to fix his fins with a tie-wrap. Ear drum also done.

Luckily nothing that required draining. I cringed when I read that one.
