| Underwater Hockey Bleep Test Went upto Scotland last weekend for a session with our Scottish friends including Hamish. Hamish couldnt remember the exact time sets so I was wondering if anyone else had them to hand. Hamish said the Aussie Elite get upto between 37-40 "laps", "sets" whatever you call them, just wondering if the Kiwis do anything similar and what kind of fitness level they have to reach? | Beep test Believe it might be overs and unders, or unders and overs, depending on whether you're a back or a forward, or what the coach says. 3 lengs on 30 seconds 3 lengths on 28 seconds 3 lengths on 26 seconds 3 lengths on 24 seconds 3 lengths on 22 seconds 3 lengths on 20 seconds 4 lengths on 19 seconds 4 lengths on 18 seconds 4 lengths on 17 seconds... and I don't know what it drops to from there can someone confirm this? |

| Just punched those into Excel and came up with this which after talking to Hamish at the weekend seems reasonable. Quote:

| remember there are 2 versions of the beep test... the one the refs have been using at competitions is the old mark 1 version. in that test someone doing reasonably well would be getting between 40 and 50 lengths. mark 2 is a shortened version, and someone scoring reasonably well will get somewhere between 30-35 lengths, someone scoring very well will get more.
