atapene will become famous soon enough
i'd say its pretty specific...

i used to wander around spinning poles and hammers as i worked to helpwith wrist strength but i dont know how effective it was.

i've seen hammer style wrist curls used to target uwh muscles.

yeah i guess one-armed rows might be a good one? i'd hold the dumbell so its lined up across your body to make it more specific and keep the angle closer to what you'd have in the water.

I agree with you a stick on its own can make a movement.
But like some already now out here. I have made very much types sticks and still getting new one to make. And try them all.

Some are better for a specific movement then others.. But when you have controll, and the skills, u can do with most sticks most off the skills.

But i really think the skill/technick is more important then the power/musle behind it. It can help indeed. But its not the most basic thing to have for a skill. It can help in the longer term to train the skill beter but in the basic/begin the technick is more important. And most technicks can be learnt very quikly. As long the basics technick is told in the good way.

I now how its told 10 year ago. And it lookt something like liam told

"the key is to spin the puck as much as possible by running it down the passing edge... key way to help with that is to keep the angle of the stick and wrist quite open and bring your elbow back as far as possible when you pass."

With only one differents. It must be done forwards and the elbow must be hold against the body.
An little time later we did get an video with some movements.
Like this.

Duck is an unknown quantity at this point
The shot in the water looks more like the thumb is moved to the top of the stick while your dryland examples show the thumb staying on the inside of the stick. You can't get the throwing motion with your thumb on the inside unless you have triple jointed thumbs or something and even Liam's are only double jointed. Most of the videos with the big inside flicks are with the thumb on the inside and you see the stick getting pulled quickly into the body on the follow-through. I suspect your shoulder or elbow would/could get wrenched pretty good if you tried a sideways flick with the thumb on the inside.

As was discussed in a previous thread on inside flicks the thumb on top is a different shot than the big high flick with different mechanics and is much easier on the body as it is a more natural throwing motion and doesn't require the strength of the high inside flick.
