I go were there are no opponents..the easyest way.
I ignore the opponents and go towards the goal bin. Almost never the easiest way, but generally more effective.

I'm a forward.

If you don't take a risk, you can't score.

Your job is not "to retain possession". This is important, but is a secondary concern. Your job is to carry the puck in the direction specified by your formation allowing you to use your team-mates effectively, resulting in goals.

Your opponents, if they're any good, will show you large open spaces where they want you to go, so they can shut you down and isolate you from your team-mates. If you go there (usually 'the easiest way'), you are playing into your opponents hands.

Ignore the opposition, take the puck in the direction you're supposed to take it, and if someone gets in the way have the balls to take them on and finish the job anyway.

Please lett them do that...Its one of my functions (but most time i'm not a forward..)
To have more then one player attacing me...But first the must try to come nearby me... Otherwise they can not steal the puck (to staYy on topic).. and iff they do. a fresh player from my side can easy steal it back..

todd is an unknown quantity at this point
why swim into open water if your just going to get swarmed and cut off from your team mates? that being said the open water is generally a pretty good place to swim

forwards job is to make ground and be creative, it's generally up to the backline to feed the forwards and be solid enough in defense to allow the forwards to take risks
