| I've put my vote in for Mobility and Manoeuverabilty - it will be interesting to see if you have varying views depending on whether the player is male or female. Looking forward to reading whatever you come up with! |

| Ha! I doubt it... I don't really see gender as a defining issue in hockey. But research might turn up alternate evidence, I guess we'll find out. ![]()

| I doubt a lot, because all these things could be interesting, but I vote for Skills, Tactics and Philosophy of Personal Offence at least. Another question: could we translate your manuals into Spanish? Then they could arrive to a lot of people here in Spain and also in Argentina, Colombia, etc. Angel_13

| Go for it. All translations are fine as long as you don't add or remove anything not directly related to the translation process. ![]()

| I vote for - Mobility & Manoeuverability I suspect your going to have to incorporate some aspects of the other 2 into that, and it's probably no good having blinding puck skills to escape from danger if you cannot get your body to follow. (also there is also a really good selection of you tube clips on skills already on here) Last edited by Tippas : 11-07-07 at 11:15 PM. |

| The funny thing is, that will definitely be turning up in the mobility article. Aikido is also fantastic for hockey. Any of the soft martial arts based on balance, control and body position will improve your game.

| Hmm, perhaps a small explanation of each topic. Mobility & Manoeuverability - The physiology of manoeuvering underwater. What your body structure allows and restricts and how to use that to your advantage. How to balance and control your body to perform both subtle and exaggerated motions with precision. How to control your body position to apply strength through different situations. Maintaining your balance while disrupting your oppositions. Physics and Philosophy of Puck Control - The science of applied force and cylindrical fluid dynamics focussing on stability and speed. How to use your stick to overcome inertia and turbulent wake dynamics associated with the puck to move it in any direction, at pace, without bobbling it. Drills and concepts to build puck control to reflex level. Skills, Tactics and Philosophy of Personal Offence - How to go forward in style (no teamwork necessary). The creation of space and using it effectively. Building 'pathways' through opposition formations. Maintaining balance and pace while maneouvering the puck. Fulfilling your role within the context of your formation. Maintaining pressure. Controlling what the opposition does when you have the puck. Philosophical approaches to offense. How and why to humiliate your opponent. Being polite.
