| Wollongong 4's Comp 31st March The 15tth Annual Wollongong 4's Comp is scheduled for Saturday 31st March, 2007 and the invitation is open to all players of all levels. It's a "pot luck" tournament where teams will drawn out of a hat on the day. You play 4/team (may have one sub dep on numbers); 2x5min halves in a court that is 17m long, 15m wide and 2.4m deep. "POT LUCK" = you luckily find the pool and get there before 12.30 so that you luckily win the door prize; you then get put in a team that consists of you plus 3 great players and win every game. Then at the BBQ afterwards, as luck would have it, you get to eat as much food as you can and then win all the pot luck prizes because everybody else is still at the pub! The others arrive stocked up and luckily offer you a few drinks. Then you might even get lucky...(and find a nice comfy bed to crash on)??? Interested in coming, contact lena_p@bigpond.net.au cheers

| 4's Comp Hey Lena, I'm 99.9% sure I'll be heading up for the comp. What happens on the Sunday (apart from recovery from the night before)? I'll try and get Trace and Nina there too. I'm assuming there's some floorspace somewhere for us to crash the night too cos I don't fancy sleeping in a Getz with two others... hrmmm cosy! |

| Hi Alex Nothing is planned for the Sunday (we are sensible in wgong, or rather too old to play with a hangover)! There is plenty of floor space at Phil's so you can have a nice recovery dip in Phil's pool/spa in the morning if you like. There are plenty of nice beaches in Wollongong with cafes or you could come up to Thirroul (20min north from Phils place) to check out the Thirroul Seaside and Arts Festival that is on that weekend. Great if you guys came up! Ciao

| The Wgong 4's Potluck comp went very well on Saturday. We had a record number of players (48), perfect weather and a great party afterwards. All teams got to play 6 games each (9min, no half time) and the winning team won their last game by one goal to clinch the victory. The results: The luckiest in the pool (draw) were: Marion Creser (Syd) Jules Foulkes (Syd) Andy Davis (Wgong) James Harris (ACT) Billy the Kid (Syd) The unluckiest were: Eden Brown (Vic) Edwin Kwan (Wgong) Bill Maher (ACT) Alain (Syd) Denise House (Newcastle) Lucky pool prize: Doug Penrose (Wgong) Unluckiest in the raffle: Denise House (only person to not win something) Other Lucky Mentions: The extraordinary luck of the two people in charge of drawing names out of the bucket to make up the teams (Jules and Andy)... Lucky with the weather Craig's lucky discovery of the Bundy bottle on the prize table Vics' lucky win in the vic-nsw waterpolo/rugby Men's unlucky loosers in the men-women waterpolo/rugby Eamonn's unlucky loss of shorts in spa New lucky record for people in spa = 22! Thanks to all in the Wgong club for organising and contributing, especially Dave Kennedy, Andy Davis, Sean Cleary, Phil Murray, Phil Ackerman, Jenny Kennedy and John Vaartjes. A very special thanks to the Vics Edi, Chook, Michaela, Catherine, Giles, Craig, Wolfey and Sophia for coming up and for making the great salads.

| Thanks for organising a great comp guys, you can count me in for the next one, although if I look at the logistics, 18 hours of driving seems alot, but was worth it if for nothing but the water polo alone lol. Big thanks to Phil for the hospitality. Had a great time.
