Feedback Euros 08

Another big tournament on the 2008 UWH Calendar which hasn't had a lot of talk about... the Euros. Yes, there was a tussle for the limelight being scheduled at the same time as the WAA Worlds, but we want to know how it went! What are people's comments and feedback from the comp? How did teams cope sending teams to both Worlds and Euros? Do you think in two year's time the clash will occur again?

There actually was already a thread where we had some feedback on the Euros in Istanbul.
Don't really know how countries with two teams did it, as they didn't really gave feedback so far.

Will there be another clash in two years? Personally I fear there will be. Our lovely sport has split up and in the end it will be very very difficult to keep playing both sides as a country. At some point one of the two governing bodies will demand exclusivity, which will force federations into taking sides.
We all know it is completely rediculous and mainly based upon personality clashes, but that's just the way it will be.

my euros feedback is this....

whooohoooo turkey! those tinny buggers pulled it off, well done, credit to them and i hope people realise that the team they beat in the final was a top 8 team from sheffield.

they had some good home town advantages but credit where credit is due.

I'll predict it now... Despite an alleged proposal that teams not be banned, the C-org will not allow teams to play with WAA and them. I don't think WAA will give a rat's ass.
