2009 CMAS Games

First, I would like to apologize to all for my part in getting off topic in this thread

Freedom of Speech site has nothing to do with it and no one owns the game. But organizations (such as C-org, WAA, BOA, USOA) that run their version of it and websites (such as Underwaterhockeyworld.com and hockeynet) that are provided for discussions about it are entitled to set down rules and do whatever is allowed by the authorities that dictate to them what is legal/illegal/acceptable/unacceptable etc. You are more than free to start your own game. All you have to do is find 11 friends willing to play with you. It may not be under the BOA banner, but you could still play. And in an effort to get it back on topic, has the C-org banned you from participating in the 2009 Games? Could you play for another country? Hmmmm, lots of possibilities, especially in Europe where countries are just a couple hours drive away.



Fortunately the world does not revolve around you so no one other than yourself has felt it necessary to inform me about your situation. I base all my knowledge and opinions about you on emails you have posted to hockeynet and postings that you have made here.



... whatever the reason it does not matter, true or false allegations. I would, instead of ranting on about a lost love, work toward correcting the misconceptions within the framework of the problem. Which, by your own accounts, is the BOA or whatever branch of that organization has thrown this undeserved fate upon you. It is not the World, it is not this site, it is not the other individual countries that participate in this sport. I'd take it up with them, meaning BOA. If USOA banned me, I would deal with it within the structure set up in the US. If my club team banned me I would deal with them. I certainly wouldn't run off to the Zooluus team in Australia to air my grief.



Now for someone who lives thousands of miles away from me, you seem to be making some huge assumptions yourself. You have no idea if I have ever lost a true love, been banned from something, wrongly accused, bullied or any of the rest of the rants you have had.

The way to defeat them is to provide the proof you say you have to the authorities of the sport in your country. If that doesn't work, take it to the authorities in the country that dictate to the authorities of the sport. It's called the chain of command and you need to go up it until you get action. Take it all the way to the C-org or WAA if you have to, your call, your money. But you certainly are not helping your cause with continued rants about something that no one in any of the other countries care about. And to end with the threat just isn't too bright.

Defeat them by taking the high road. By proving everyday through your actions, not words, that you are worthy. Find supporters within England that can help you.

Just my observations and why I think you need to take your meds and/or more therapy, you are bitter. I don't blame you and I don't necessarily think it's wrong to be bitter, but you are and it is still pouring out. What happens is that you unleash on anyone around you until they realize you are bitter and then they leave you. Unfortunately, bitterness is hard to recognize when you are in the middle of it and as people leave you, you become more bitter until that one time it clicks. thanks for actually giving a productive answer, this is something which needs to be taken further forward. However I need to investigate an arbitrator in sport, who can deal with this, something which the governing body has to answer to. Maybe I will deal with the direct issues rather than fringe issues, it would also remove others from providing evidence for just friends sake.

Saying the world or others are not interested in the plights of others to have freedom in sport is preceisely why groups can dictate and form mafio's cliches.

Publication is how people become educated, do you think i am bothered about foreign policy yet between america and the uk we have bomb afganistan back into their already previously stoneaged existance, and iraq under a lie of WMD's, if we did not care nothing would happen, and the motives are clear why now, for oil and preserve economic growth in our backyards, but its a sneek and theif action and although this is a longway from a few little lies, and damaged car, constant bruising on my back, and stolen equipment, through to assault, the motives are similar.

Hi Tony what's news from your side, I know this sort of thing takes time to sort out but I need to get some idea so that I can put the wheels into motion, travel arrangements from her need to be done as early as possible.

I already emailed your guys .for general information the schedule is being published next week .Laurent from France has been there and the pool is great .the 50 meter flat bottom pool is all for hockey only .it is also 25 meters wide and 2.10 deep.
The suggestion is that all athletes stay in the town of Hammamet which is 35 minutes away and is by the sea and full of great hotels with pools etc..
I checked some cost and from the UK you can take a 10 days holidays in first class hotel half board including flights for around 500 Pounds ( expedia site)
the tournament fee I am pushing for a max of 1000 euro per team.

More news to follow .but please understand that all official invitations will go to your federations that are registered with CMAS

I have it on reliable source that 2009 CMAS Games in Tunisia have been cancelled. I think the world economic situation must be to blame. More as I know it, but my source is positive yet we MUST consider it a valid 'rumor' until an official announcement.

Over here we have a rumor about Spain taking over the games... how and if thats even posible, I'm not sure...

Dear All

I have sad news.

Please forward to all that need to know this.

There will not be a CMAS Games in Tunis this year, due to a lack of
Government support to the organizing federation.

The Spanish Federation has already made a proposal to organize the CMAS
Games, probably in Malaga-Spain. But it is not official or decided yet.

We await more news.
