European Championship 2008

To all concerned

CMAS has agreed to pay for travel of Cheif referee and Tournamnet Director to Istanbul , while the Turkish federeation will pay for their lodging and food .and CMAS will also contribute 250 Euro per approved referee .

Laurent Dubost will be Chief referee and Ales Versic will be Tournamnet Director.

There are 10 OFFICIAL men's team representing their countries and 8 OFFICIAL women's team representing their countries .Portugal for men and Czech republic for women being the newest counrries .Laurent Dubost of France is the Chief referee and Ales Versic of Slovenia is the Tournament Director.The web site has gone on line it is UNDERWATER HOCKEY 2008 ISTANBUL - UWH. It should be complete by end of the week as translating from Turkish is not easy .The offcial puck is the Italian puck which is close to the Oz puck with some minor modifcations and was used at CMAS World games in Bari.

Where and what planned dates are the CMAS competition next year?

Well, the Dutch team is going. We're going full speed ahead with the preparations and extra training sessions. Sparring against the Dutch Elite and Masters is a pretty good workout (Hi Jols!, see you on Saturday)
