Asian Invitational Tournament Posted on behalf of Bushy... Fellow Hockey Players,
Our three-year-old underwater hockey club, the Stirling Underwater Hockey Club (SUHC), is excited to announce the 1st Asian Invitational Tournament, to be held here in Singapore on the weekend of 30th November to 2nd December 2007.
Participants will be from the first three Asian underwater hockey nations - Japan, the Philippines & Singapore - with the competition divided into elite, open and women's divisions.
In the spirit of friendly competition, we would like to extend invitations to one (1) team each from regional neighbours Australia & New Zealand to play in probably the elite division. As Asian underwater hockey teams are still currently developing their strengths, we suggest not sending your country's top players - but teams of moderate ability would be more appropriate. Team entry is limited by pool space.
Note though, that as in other national/regional tournaments, guest teams will be allocated the same number of round-robin games... but will not be eligible for the final. Below are some initial details: Registration Fee - SG$100/player
Banquet Ticket - SG$35/pax
Dates - Friday 30 November to Sunday 2 December, 2007
Venue - Queenstown Swimming Complex, 473 Stirling
Road, Singapore Other details will be provided for any parties
interested. Kindly contact the following:
