That makes for some pretty interesting reading. It looks like we are not alone in our struggle against the might of CMAS!
It's a bit of a worry when bodies split like this and the athletes are the ones that pay the price by not being able to compete in certain comps or against certain teams (I'm sure the French would feel their World Champs claim is hollow, correct me if I'm wrong any Frenchies on the forum).
A similar thing happened here in Oz with the Rugby League comp several years ago where half the teams in the comp played in the banner of "Superleague" and the rest played NRL. This split was all about money and TV so it's a little different. However, it destroyed the sport for a few years before they decided it wasn't worked and joined forces back into the one comp again. All has been fine since then.
I just hope for all of our sakes, and the sake of the sport of UWH, that CMAS doesn't ban countries from playing in SA next year and claim that they are being disloyal to CMAS. It would be disappointing to those at the comp as much as it would be for those who are not able to participate. I think the Bari comp was a good concept and it would be great if this comp could happen on a truly global scale, not just European.
