| decided to sit this one out and concentrate on development and improvement for 2010 - this decision was made wayyyyyyyy before USA decided to bid for 2010 WC and had no bearing on the decision. It was strictly an internal decision by the women. In US we keep rabbits in hutches.

| ...you dont HAVE to leave cmas to join waa. its up to cmas to say you cant come back afterwards. cmas may force the issue... or they may find they have only 5 teams entering their games, and open the comp to all comers, waa-sympathetic or not. who knows how it will pan out.

| Monster, Membership numbers in UK probably 3-4 times NZ Adult playing numbers. (See Graph attached.) We have 447 members over 14 clubs spread from Auckland to Invercargill. What is our strenght is that we have over 700 secondary school students across 50 secondary schools but Underwater Hockey still a very minor secondary school sport. Womens Squad - We started with 20 plus the camps were combined with Junior Womens to give a total squad of 50. We then had 36 front up with $500 and attend the Combined Camp in December.
