Question whose competition is this?

i always assumed that south africa were awarded the 'world champs' on behalf of the cmas uwh committee. or, at least, a committee operating on behalf of/as officers of cmas.

how can they now be running them on behalf of a rival organisation [?] surely south africa should be dealing with cmas' representatives.

when cmas uwh committee/wtd resigned shouldn't south africa's response have been: 'oh, well we're sorry to see you leave - who do we deal with [from cmas] now?'

CMAS severed all bonds with the Durban competition - officially in minutes - as CMAS Games have replaced all, well almost all, CMAS world championships. And actually, SA was never 'awarded the world champs' - again in minutes - as CMAS Games were in final planning stages.

Last I heard, at the same time as competition in Durban - late April perhaps into early May - I don't know how long an event is being planned.

atapene will become famous soon enough
so SA has been a rouge comp all along... for who?

we've been told there is no WAA yet... but there has to have been SOMETHING for SA to run under?

or seeing as there are no rules yet for WAA, or maybe no constitution etc ratified (certainly no elections etc have taken place) then can SA just run the comp as it sees fit with impunity, as a comp under no banner in particular?

would be nice cos then there would be less direct competition with cmas, possibly no bans from cmas and may leave countries with the option of attending cmas comps in coming years.

? (and yes that is seen by many as a good thing, both for competition for the securely attached cmas countries and for exposure with other uw sports and the general exposure it could bring.)

when SA originally bid (two years ago), CMAS had not yet committed to the Games; the bid was received and sort of tabled until Games confirmed and then bid denied or probably more properly said, bid was found superfluous or unnecessary or or or.

I told ya before but I'll tell ya again... It's my party and you're all invited. Duck's Hockey Hootin Nanny. We'll have cake and ice cream, tea and crumpets, beer and pretzels, whatever you like. There will be games organized for fun and entertainment only. Parting gifts will be given to some but not all party-goers. Drink responsibly and do not drive.

No problems with CMAS since WAA doesn't "officially" exist. Maybe we can create it when we are down there during some free time. Until then, no one is competing in another organization so there should be no penalty awarded to those that come to see me.

thats a good idea duck..actually great idea but a lot of people in the sport like to have something official,i dunno human beings like to feel secure in some ways.

as many teams in europe now are scared puckless to go to the worlds in sa,becuase of been banned.
in a competition i just heard a big official tell an open table(casually) of the banning of teams that play in waa.
well,it sickens me..

its bad timing that the worlds were in sheffield, sheffield should have been in march n place of sa then weŽd have a lot of support for the waa, south africa is just too far for euro teams and all the support is needed from europe right now.

i also think its imperitive to have the waa worlds or ducks paddling tea party in europe in the next time round as there are loads of teams in europe that would go.

hey duck do you really think we could have tea and cakes...sounds like a yummy party.
