Tristan - i could almost say for certain Australia will not be sending a junior girls side; it's still uncertain as to wether or not we'll be sending an open junior side

Hey Todd, just a little harsh to close that door for Australian jnr women and open jnr!
Every year is different, it would be fantastic for Australia to at least try and research this opertunity for our Jnr teams, not shut it down.

Cheers
Belle

Hello Alex,

Went to the website, but got the good old "HTTP 404 Not Found" error when I clicked on the link. Maybe there is someone out there reading this forum that knows the organisers and may want to suggest that they get teh 24/7 guys back again. Who knows?

Cheers,

hrmmm... just checked the link and it seems fine to me.

I shot through a couple of emails to them over the weekend, so hopefully we'll hear from them soon. I'm not sure who dealt with them for the Sheffield Worlds. On their site they do say to contact them should you have a sporting event you want covered - so we'll wait and see!

BTW Keep the poll votes coming everyone!

the link works.
It's just a front page though - still under construction?

Sorry, the 'contacts us' link on the worlds site does not work. The link provided by Alex worked perfectly as per usual.

i wasn't shutting the teams down Belle - but a side isn't going to go away in the junior open division unless it's a squad of 12 players all at the ability to compete in a worlds; not just the 12 richest players in australia

and at the moment that isn't looking very likely

Aussie Junior Teams

Todd,

It will be a shame if Aussie do not field a team as the series in Melbourne in 06 was good and the Trans Tasmans was fairly close with the Junior Girls Series being fantastic with the series coming down to the last 2 minutes of the 5th game.

I know the money is an issue but on review of NZ's performance we are even worse off if we don't attend at all.

If players want to attend then they should be encouraged.

Regards

Tristan
