| question for USA folks Is USOA's stance on cmas limited to uwh involvement only? I ask because i understand that the USOA has applied for entry to the Bari games for a US finswimmer to compete. It seems a little odd to me, cos i was at the TT opening ceremony in Christchurch a few weeks ago and the rambling speech that Carol Rose gave made me think she considered cmas and it's minions to be pawns of satan. Can someone ask Carol if she was a: stating a personal view, b: the official stance of USOA [which seems muddled if USOA is backing the inclusion of one of it's athletes in the Bari games], or, c: the view of the current uwh commission. To my mind it's rather poor form to slag off the organisation which you [presently] represent; ie cmas. To do it at a personal level is one thing, but to do so as an official of that organisation is quite untenable. Surely a resignation is in the offing? Or has the entire uwh commission already resigned/left cmas? supplementary question for anyone who knows: what teams have entered and/or applied for entry to Bari comp this year? so far i only know of France, GB, Turkey, Italy [naturally]. We might not all be going, but surely we all want to know who is and how things are going during the comp.

| If nothing else this thread really serves to highlight one of the things that make Aqua Challenge (or Underwater Hockey for those who insist on living in past) such an absurdly fun(ny) diversion. The reactive politics and finger pointing going on nearly puts that seen recently in the AFL (Australian Football League for our seppo friends) to shame. Perhaps the WACA (and by that I mean the World Aqua Challenge Association not the West Australian Cricket Association) could follow the AFL lead and generate some press for next years Worlds by engineering some kind of substance use scandal. |

| Public Apology I'll admit to being under the influence of 'beer' a couple of times whilst playing the game. On reviewing the tapes it was clear that 'beer' is not performance enhancing. Although I thought it was at the time. I was wrong and I apologise. I hope my family and I can move on and deal with this in our own way and that my actions haven't damaged 'the game'. Please send me to a flash american 'rehab' 'clinic' for at least three weeks. I may also have been under the influence of 'rugby' a few times. This has definately bought myself and the game into disrepute and I apologise. |

| Teams Hi Everybody, I wrote from Spain, FEDAS (our National Federation) want to send a male and female UWH teams to CMAS Games, but they don't have money to give us to go to Durban, then some players are trying to make a team to take part in the next WC in Durban. Now we dont have an official information from FEDAS about WC Durban 2008. Best Regards,

| Durban FEDAS probably wont give you the information as the real world championships in Durban wont be a CMAS event. Please give us the contact information of someone who will distribute the information in Spain, and we will be able to keep you up to date with what is going on. Cheers.

| RAI, It would be great to see Spanish teams in SA. Your teams are always a lot of fun. It seems that SA Worlds will also be a better competition to improve your UWH as all the top Nations will be there. We are all hoping to see as many countries as possible in South Africa. Cheers, Tan |

| WTD, Can we now have a difinitive list of who is playing in Bari? And a difinitive list on who is playing in Durban? There's way too much speculation & misinformation about. Welcome RAI, we're happy to see the Spanish here ![]()
