Underwater Hockey Rules!

Well worlds 2008! I will be there (if the GB squad will have me). I am having loads of fun playing some great hockey here aus. I went to Warrigul last night and saw Belle in action (very impressed Belle, your a great player). I am looking forward to seeing some info on the SA pool and how the games will be running. Think i will be playing there in November sometime to check it out.

I go away for work for a month and return to find it's taken me a day to sift thru all the conversation that I'd missed out on. When I got to this topic "World's 2008" and it was 8 pages long I thought great we might be getting somewhere. Now after sifting thru to the end I find nothing really relavent about Worlds 2008 (apart from a couple fo posts at the end about the pool)!

WTD - Is there anymore information about the organisation of the Worlds 2008?

Well I am the provider of information so best you tell me the things you want to know, if i can answer I will or I will find out the answers and post them as they come to hand.

Sorry in taking so long to reply, been away again!

I was wondering if there is anymore info regarding dates? Or is 21/04-5/05 still as much as we've got?

Has there been any interest from countries wishing to participate? ie do we know which countires might be there or is it too early for that?

Will there be a A and B pool with cross over games? Or maybe that one can't be answered until teams have registered?

And talking of that, when willl registration be due?

Will there be an SA website where we can keep up to date with progress of the comp? (ie answers to these types of questions?)

Any info of this type that's available would be great.

Countries that have confirmed that they will be in Durban are Oz, NZ, Holland, UK, USA, Ireland, France, Canada and of course SA

Those that have indicated that they want to send a team, Colombia, Argentina and the Philippines.

Those we need to work on, Singapore, Spain and Belgium so if any of you have contacts in these countries please start a dialogue with them.

The worlds web site should be up shortly, as for split divisions, this depends solely on the number of countries that register. I will be speaking to South Africa today to finalise some things so I hope to have some more news soon.
