Major site changes this week.

This week we'll be making some very big changes to the site. Don't be too alarmed if you see odd things going on. Hopefully by week's end UWH World will have the following changes completed;

* the forum 'skin' (it's look, colour etc) will be adjusted to be even prettier.
* the homepage will change to incorporate the forum itself (see www.mactalk.com.au for a good example of what i want to achieve here)
* a photo & video package will be added to allow members to easily share
* some forum categories will get locked down to non members. So you won't be able to lurk around and get the full content. You'll have to join to open up all of the pages. Yes, we want you to register.

Doing the above will i hope make for a richer and more interactive site. I'd like to point out a couple of outcomes that I'm angling for. These include;
* better SEO (so please link to us on your own site and in any other way that you can, ie, forum signatures, My Space profiles, Facebook profiles etc)
* a comprehensive catalogue of UWH pictures and videos. Please label these correctly when the function becomes active. That way Google & other search engines can find them.
* multiple editorial contributors from around the world. The center area of the above mentioned site is generated through one of the forum categories. This allows anyone to publish news or articles from anywhere at anytime. One catch, content will have to be approved by an Admin first, just in case.

All in all it's another step in the evolution of this great community.

Yes i read it. But i hope i can see the photo bucket agains then. Like you seen on the screen shots. I cant zee everything anymore.
So can,t i see the "flicker"photo bucket anymore. Or the world map were everybody comes from. were the buttons normal are on the right site from the front page.

Like i ask in the coache box. I'm looking for new and old uwh manuels. Here ar many players looking for them.

Is it a idea to have a page for likes or compleet digital uwh manuels out here. So everybody that want to read those manuels from all around the world can easely do that. A sort off informative part on the site.(for members....) What dont get lost after a time..like the discussions. (as example the one about making sticks)

Of course copyright must'nt be infringed on though.

However, Google is trying to digitalize every known book atm.
Matbe you could also submit it to them. They're very serious about it.
