The dutch have a great hockey history as they won the first world championship in Vancouver Canada 1980 since then the men have got 3 silver medals and the women won gold in 2004.

I didn't realise that I played against Sandor as far back as 86, he is just like fine wine, gets better with age. I thought I was like that but as with all fine wine it eventually goes off.

Good to see you in Melbourne and will catch up for a beer in Durban.

i enjoyed that interview a lot,i'd love to hear more masters speak about there experiences and more about there training and the progression from elite to master.

I hope that the term Master here is referring to 'the enormous skilled one' ;-) But no offense.
At my age you come to a point where you have to support the 'young onces' who go out of their way to NOT to train. Even so far that they injure themselves by cutting or freezing there feet, so they have the sick excuse not to be able to wear fins..... What can I say!! (Not you Youngie if you read this)

Tania is of course VERY biased. But on a day like this (VD) who can blame her?

Maybe I am being overly sensitive, but I have the feeling there old vinegar-man that you are trying to have a subtle dig at me. It is not my fault that the nurse made such a hash of my foot.

And... I think that in this case 'Master' refers to someone who begins all of their stories with "when I was a lad...."

Just had to say what a pleasure it was experiencing first hand the international player finally gracing our little tournament we call PCC's. Having the opportunity to play with Sandor was such a treat, and as he said to me sometimes you don't really get a good judge of someone playing against them, especially at worlds where everyone in the pool is so amped up and moving at double normal speed. I am a better player now, having been on his team and my club has improved from the experience he was able to bring into the water.

In spite of his resistance to yell at us in French as we requested, it was great having him hold down the middle of the pool and I was a bit overwhelmed by his humility. After our initial introductions I asked what his personal feelings were about subbing, to which he responded with something along the lines of "oh, i don't want to step on anyone's toes I'll sit as much as you want me to." Amazing... of course my plan was to not allow him to sub at all which worked out pretty well too.

Thanks Sandor it was a pleasure playing with you and a Great pleasure meeting you. Look forward to the next time we can see each other.
