| intro I would like to introduce myself, I am about to graduate from university in June 2008, soon to be a qualified lecturer in sport. I am thinking about moving to work in Australia or new zealand, used to play hockey to a good standard until something horrible and something which is totally hurtful happened but I am over it, I am. So I hope you guys will be ok, and welcome me soon (speak to the former national ref of the uk for further details and truth behind my background - Neil Dixon). I am friendly, fun and well qualified in sport knowledge, development, and fitness. I am also knowledgeable about reffin the game. I will help anyone within the game, regardless of age or gender. I should be available to move in the fall of 2008 \ start of 2009 after the sale of my home, and location of suitable teaching placement in the southern hemisphere. Look forward to meeting friendly people, Thanks Andrew |

| Fabrizio is back (in the community)! Hi all! Fabrizio, the man at Monash from PESCARA, ITALY is back in the community! After three years struggle, and lots of time wasted doing work for the European Commission in Brussels, Ministry of Health in Rome, and University of Perugia, I finally found the way to start a team in my hometown. This has been the most difficult job I've ever done! BUT IT WORKED. For those reading Italian, see here: Hockey, la passione esplode sotto l’acqua | il Centro Next 30th March we are organizing a national meeting in Pescara, with 8 teams coming from the whole country, When I left Melbourne in 2004, someone (John McBride, Hi John, are you there?) told me: "you'll be a legend there"....NOT REALLY, BUT I'M ON MY WAY KEEP GOING GUYS! See you around the world!!! And remember: I do hold Australian Citizenship, so if you hear that I've become a Master Champ, I might accept invitation for the National Team....CIAO FROM SUNNY AND CRAZY ITALY! Fabrizio Carinci |

| Also my first post As many before me, I've been reading all the posts from multiple hockey-guru's before I actually thought about joining the conversation. Think this is a great way to start. Just finished playing my first Worlds (Durban) and loved it! My name is Simon (like the world famous player/ref from Australia) but I'm from the Netherlands. Have been playing for 10 years now and the last few years I've become eager to get to the very highest level possible of uwh in the world. Always played for my team Argonauta which is from Breda (in the south of the Netherlands). In 2006 went to South-Africa for the first time (and can now say I'm addicted) and learned a lot, like a whole lot, during my stay there. Played for Maties in the Interclubs in East London. Also started playing in the French competition to get experienced to high level hockey. My first international tournament was in Reading (UK) and I loved that! For the coming time I hope to play another Interclubs in South-Africa and if possible play some games in Australia, maybe do an internship there if I can arrange it. I'll be reading all the posts that you'll put on the site.... Cheerz Simon |
