Welcome aboard Michal. You guys should have a pretty good start in NY, I know there are quite a few players who've moved there in recent years and have been looking for a pool for a while. Saw the post about 5' flat bottom olympic sized, what's the bottom surface? Big tiles would be a bonus.

I'm pretty sure Daniel still has a hand in Hockey in Montreal. He is still one of the most talented and passionate players around.

Rudolf

Hi all,

I'm Rudolf from South Africa I'm 21, have been playing hockey in the US for 3 years now and 3 years before that in South Africa. Played in Conneticut, played in San Jose and San Francisco. I've basicly played everywhere in the US.

I was on the winning team for the US Nationals of 2007.

I play in NY currently and like Michal said, it's a great pool.

Hope to see everyone at Worlds in Durban 2008.

Rudy

I'm Christine, I'm 15 and I've been playing UWH for three years.
UWH is really big in my family with me, my dad, my aunt and uncle playing.
I shall be coming up to the nationals in Melbourne, next week, with the Tassie Junior Development Team. My Dad (Glenn Wickham) is Player Coach for the Tassie Masters and my aunt (Natalie Wickham) is Captain of the Tassie Women. I hope to meet many people there and am very excited as this is my first national comp.
I'm glad of all the friendly people on the forums and hope to meet new faces

Hi all, im Ryan. Been watching the forms for a wee bit so thought I would start chatting in them.

Ive played UWH for 3 1/2 years now. Im from Scotland and play between StirlingUniversity (Captain) EdinburghCity and GlasgowCity with whom I play for out with Uni events. I also played for Scotland in 07 in the Euro Clubs and hope to continue to play for Scotland in the future.

As like most people here I really have the bug for UWH cant get enough of it. Get to play 5 hours a week of hockey If there was more pool time available I would do it.

I play as a Back either Wing or Centre.

Lucky in Edinburgh to have Hamish and Meg teaching and advancing everyones skills. Cheers Guys

Oh for people interested in leader fins, got myself a pair. They hurt but are in the process of being broken in. Either the fins or my feet with change shape

US is exstatic (sp?) to have play in NY area; it's been a big hole for uw hockey. Pools either unplayable, unavailable or toooooooooo expensive. Insurance is also a costly issue. We finally filled the Los Angels gap with 3 pools. So, with addition of NY, US is fairly well spread around a large nation.
