Underwater Hockey Rules!

Hi everybody,

I'm Nicolas, French uwh player in the team of Nantes. I discovered this sport 3 years ago and I really like it.

I'm a local ref since last season and will try to pass the first coach level this year.

When I'm not in water, I'm studying computer science in an engineering school (Polytech). Love swimming, spearfishing and bodyboarding too.

Hey, i'm Chris, 19 year old and i've been playing for about 1 and a half years, I used to play a litle bit when i was really small but then discovered other sports....now i'm back to uwh tho. I play for NERO's (north east regional octopush), in Newcastle England. We were at Orkney the other week and came 3rd....not too bad. However we won the partying aspect of the competition....last to bed both nights....pfffft Rochdale so called "beer monsters"

Yeah i agree Rochdale don't live up to their beer monsters name but at least i never claimed to be a 'beer monster'....just a ringer :-)

I'm Chris, a UWH newbie from Wellington. I started playing about two or three months ago, coming in from an ex-swimming and a freediving background. UWH is great for fitness and CO2 tolerance for freediving, while freediving helps me relax and do the long holds in UWH. Any hockey players in Wellington who want to see what a REALLY long breathhold is can come to Naenae pool, 21-23 September to see Dave try and beat his 234m dynamic to officially break the world record

No, we got Benson Taylor training with us, he has been for about 5 month now bu im not sure how long he's staying. We had another kiwi called Ben with us last week because hes spending a bit of time up here, however i don't kno how long he will be here either. you kno any of those guys?

Yes Chris, guilty as charged, though they both hail from the other Island in NZ while I come from the South. Benson and I did play in a coachs/refs/mangers match one year in Christchurch before a Schools Nationals. By pure luck, we ended up with a team of 6 left handers.
