stay away from avanti excel, except for as a training fin, to get some mileage up. frankly, they are powerless.

you are far better off going with avanti tres... i think stratos may be slightly better or worse than tres, depending on your style.

quattros are great for power... if they are too heavy for you to push, just chop off a couple of inches as jols says. they will still be heavy on the foot but you will notice the improvement and i agree, i couldnt pick a drop in performance.

its pretty obvious the fibre fins are the way to go... but will probably stay in the ultra competitive level as long as the price stays where it is.


just to re-iterate, ditch your excels and get some real fins. once you get used to them, you will agree with me, and your excels will live in the boot as training fins.
