The Egyszusz Underwater Hockey Club is pleased to invite Your team to the
1st Underwater Hockey Tournament in Budapest, Hungary!
The competition will be held on
Saturday, 28th June, 2008 from 9:00 till 19:00
The reasons you must be here:
- Good teams are expected from all around Europe
- It is not far from you too
- Nice pool and location in the heart of the city
- Budapest is beautiful, affordable for everyone
- It is just in time to have a short break before your long vacation
- and at last but not least It is the first one!
The competition:
The competition will begin sharp at 9:00, and will finish at 19:00.
We'll accept the registration of 14 teams.
The captains' meeting will be 30 minutes before the first game, at 8:30.
The number of games and the length of the matches will depend on the
final number of teams registered teams.
We'll try to maximize the amount of time you play in the water, be
prepared for a long day!
There will be a 3 minute break between the matches. While the teams of
the upcoming match get ready for the
game, each team leaving the pool must send 1-1 water referee for the next round.
We'd like to ask all team captains and players to study the 9.10 CMAS
UWH rules before the tournament!

The journey to Hungary will be long and hot in Summer! We'll organize
a practice session in the pool Friday evening,
you might want to jump in the water after a day in the car or on the plane.
Registration
We're happy to have 8 registered teams for the tournament, but we wish
to welcome even more teams. Please register by the end of this week,
so we can count on you for the matches. The registration fee is 100
Euros/team. You'll get a whole lot of underwater hockey for that, and
you'll be competing for fantastic prizes.

The swimming pool:
The address of the pool is H-1118, Mányoki Street 9. Budapest, Hungary
The dimensions of our pool are 25m * 13m * 1.9m. It's got a flat
bottom covered with medium-sized tiles.
The pool is easily accessible both by car and by public transport, and
it's not far from the accomodation.
We'll prepare a map and a guide for you!
The pool is partly open-air. Be prepared with a suntan cream, because
it's quite hot in the end of June in Hungary, don't
get yourselves burnt!
We'll organize a buffet during the day with mineral water and large pancakes.
The accommodation
We'll provide accommodation in a gym, in the same building as the pool, for 5 € /person/night.
Please bring sleeping bags and other accessories that you might need for the night.

If you find the gym uncomfortable, we can still book the rooms in the
hostel for you, which is also close to the pool. This option will cost
18 Euros/person/night in a three bedroom, and 22 Euros/person/night
for a double bedroom.
The journey
The international airport code of Budapest is BUD. You might want to

The official currency of Hungary is Forints. Most of the shops and
pubs accept Euros, but not all. You might need
to change in advance, or here in Hungary.
The prize-giving ceremony and the dinner
The prize-giving ceremony and the party will be held 50 meters from the
pool/accomodation.
The menu and the drinks will be self-serviced. You may eat as much as
you'd like, and drink as much as you can, we won't put a limit anywhere!
The dinner will be followed by a fantastic party!
The price of the dinner will be 12 Euros/person, please send me the
number of people staying with us!
