so from th above responses, apart from me actally learning to swim properly, what style of fin would you recommend for a quick 'small angled' ? kick. I know the quattros I currently wear arn't ideal as they are steadily wrecking my ankles, ala's were good but I did tend to destroy them after about 9 months; plus their no longer available. which tends to leave choices between V6's which Benson has shown to pretty much stuff a lot of people on speed ( but its this down to 'finning technique'). fibre fins. eg leader /nemo - question mark regarding longevity - will they snap if you kick someone in the 'ed.

Basically would V6's work on a high cadence kick or is their design reliant on a lower cadence but larger angled kick in order to provide sufficient thrust through the vortex....
