| hi there,
i'll elaborate slightly on coco's results.
the comp ran through thursday to saturday. in the mens grade the northern A team went undefeated in the round robins, with central A winning comfortably over the other teams. the two main centers still have an advantage over the rest of the country in this grade. mid-south, northern B, mid-north and southern were all fairly tightly matched and had some very good competitive games. central B were the most inexperienced and youngest team present and i hope they took something from the comp, going down in each game by large (and possibly record) scores, as mentioned already in this thread. mid-south were the most improved team in the grade, with some new students moving to the area and crusty old players raising their heads making this a team to watch in the future.
the 3rd-4th playoff was between mid-south and northern B, and the final between northern A and central A, won by northern 9-1
the southern team took out the masters grade over the other two teams (which were a little cobbled together in parts)
...in the womens grade central beat northern in the final, northern pushed hard in the semi-final by southern.
