The Farce Fins are a perfect examle of why 35 year old technology such as the Ala is still better for underwater hockey than 98-100% of the newer fin designs. The Farce Fin as well as most new fins are designed for the lazy SCUBA guy who wants to enjoy sucking down stale air while expending minimal effort to get from point a to point b. Many of the newer designs like the force fin, most split fins, the mares volo and mares excel are made for efficiency which means no matter how little effort you put in you get movement. Kilo-joule for kilo-joule you will cover more ground at a medium pace with these designs than for a typical hockey fin... however you will be unable to sprint with most of these designs. They are made to move medium to slow speeds with little effort and they are very good at that. They are not made to move fast, and with some no matter how hard or fast you kick you can't.

conclusion no good for UWhockey

An aquifer is a water bearing layer of rock or soil. Aquifers are separated by impermeable layers of rock or clay called an aquitard. Aquitard, however may sound a bit offensive to some, and therefore we will be changing the name to Aquachallenge.
