We have tried the unit today for the first time, and here are mine and my friends thoughts about it. Mainly we focused on the "bad things" about it, as the unit performed like it supposed to.
Here are the +es:
1.Fast, instant reaction on the buzzer anywhere in the pool,
2.The sound was good (everyone in the pool was shocked...

),
3.The buzzer uses approximatly 2 liters of air, for 5 second buzz (only 2 seconds is enough to be sure everyone heard it),
4.So the 4 liter bottle we tested today, can make 4x200bar=800 lit. /2lit = 400 buzzes of 5 sec, or 800+ buzzes of 2 seconds. Therefore, 1 liter bottle can make 100 - 5 second buzzes, witch is far enough for all of the UWH tournaments use, if there is a bigger tank and refill hose.
Here are -es:
1. 4 liter bottle is cumbersome to wear (not even slightly in my oppinion, but I'm used to carry 60 kg tanks on my back...)

2. (But I wouldn't want to play the game wearing this unit.)
Here are the thoughts about improving:
1.1 liter bottle should be much easyer to carry underwater, and make everything a child's play ( I think its also the case with 4 lit bottle )
2. It seems that putting a neoprene "shield" arround the tank, would make wearing it much easier no matter of either 1 or 4 liters tank.(ref's like their games to be easy on them, and neoprene is very positive in water )
3. Instead of using BC inflator hose, it would be better to use Dry suit inflator hose, as its some 20 cm longer, and the buzzer could be held in the hand no matter of hand movement. We test it holding the buzzer in the hand, as well as having it mounted on the belly belt. Its all about personal preferences.
4. Using only 1 liter bottle, it would be possible to drop the "plastic backplate", and mount the plastic belts directly on to 1 liter tank, making everything more spartan, but also lighter.
I'm ready to bring 2 units of this experimental refferee buzzer to EU club championship this saturday, for everyone to test and make their own conclusions (with longer dry-suit hoses). It should be used as "extra" tools, only added to usual refferee's signal-gong practice. But I'll do that only if tommorow, I can find cupple of 1 liter tanks. I dont want anyone to drop this sistem for any of the "pussy" reasons, but if noone likes the sistem, its fine with me, at least I tried to make one.
Tommorow, I'll add some pictures of the unit, that we made on the pool today.
