just to put in a holiday update, 84.3kg today at the gym.
still on the creatine maintenance cycle... will be off it in a few days though and into the rest period.
of note, just about dropped a dumbell on my nads today doing incline bench, but am finally approaching the bodyweight kind of area that carl said i should be getting to with 37.5kg dumbells.... um carl, i am starting to have probs again getting the weights up for my first rep... i can pop them back into position off my knees no probs but then its a BIG job getting them up so i can begin doing reps down to right angle elbows... i'm ok once they're up. any tips? or is just grabbing someone to spot them up for me just the way to go?
also weights keep going up on the dips... thought i would can out on 35kg today but no, got to the end of the set still able to go down to the bottom and with not much in the way of shakes, so will have to go heavier again next week... its getting a bit ridiculous strapping the belt on, i have to take a knee to be able to clip the carabiner on, but it's all good.
on the negative side, powercleans while fun are annoying as i'm not able to consistently get the technique right every time and its frustrating. need more practice, however in the middle weight range it's not really a problem so i guess will just keep working at it.
food has suffered a bit just with respect to regular intervals cos im not at work and around the place, beach etc... but not too bad really. sunburn is more of a problem, i got destroyed at a drag racing meet the other day where i was out marshalling cars in the carpark and left my top button undone of my shirt without realising it... no sunscreen on my chest and i have a ridiculous v-neck sunburn mark which just happens to be RIGHT where the bar hits my chest when powercleaning... so yesterday the first heavy clean i did ripped a bit of my burnt skin off and man did it hurt
