i had a big reply all typed out but i've decided to save people some time reading it. i've summarised into points.

- people were thinking about these issues long before you posted

- people arent standing up, as you put it, because they see a way for hockey to continue smoothly, and the uwh commission is assuring us that they are working things out. yay commission! everyone has their fingers crossed. (my opinion only, of course)

- think what an awesome reaction we would get if we DID say “I’m off to play Indoor snorkel battle extreme”

- to put it bluntly, i think your entries are the most negative simply because of the high horse you perch upon.

- i have heard a great deal of support for the comission on here, which you seem to have missed.

- and yeah i do more for the sport in nz than just play, but i won't bother to go into details.

- lastly, the GB people may be discussing this too but they have their own problems which are complicating things, they have crazy stuff like the possibility of "unofficial" national teams on their hands and splits in their own federation inspired by bari/cmas/durban... a perfect example of how not to do it.

- and yeah the spiel i wrote before i replaced it with this one was much longer. what can i say. i'm a peot.
