but as you progress further in competition a perfectly fitting glove makes all the difference. have a look at other sports - soccer for instance - the top players have boots specially made for them. surfers have boards tailored to their specific needs, height and weight.

Agreed, thats the case here. But dont forget that football players arent doing equipment themself, but professional manufacturer does that for them. Skills for making the glove are quite different from skills used in uwh play.
