mass producing high quality gloves for lower tier players would be a great thing and make it a lot easier for new players to get into the sport

but as you progress further in competition a perfectly fitting glove makes all the difference. have a look at other sports - soccer for instance - the top players have boots specially made for them. surfers have boards tailored to their specific needs, height and weight.

so realistically a well made home made glove will never be replaced by mass produced gloves
